MEET HEIDI
I'm Heidi Mikolajczyk (MIKO-LIE-CHECK), your free spirited, adventurous, fun-loving photographer located in Petersburg, MI.
I grew up loving any creature that moved! So I understand the importance of having a portrait that captures your special bond with your pets.
I currently have 3 dogs: 2 boxers and 1 french bulldog. Their names are Rusty, Rose, and Romeo. I'm married to my equally dog obsessed husband Matt. He has been my support through my amazing transition to quitting my job at an oil refinery and pursuing my dream as a full time photographer!

"Wild Hearts Can't be Broken" was my favorite movie as a kid. I always had that wild heart that was ready for any challenge!
My challenges were those "project" horses. I loved the projects. I couldn't afford anything fancy, so I made it fancy with blood, sweat, tears, and a whole lot of patience!!
My horses were a safe haven in my childhood. They nurtured my angsty teen soul! I see girls with their horses, and it transports me back to my youth. That's why capturing the innocence and the deep bond between horse and rider is one of my passion projects!!!
Time is so fleeting. It's important to capture those moments, so in 20 or 30 years, you can be transported back to your heart horse and all the memories; the smell of the tack room, the delicious sweet feed that wafts through the air at feeding time, and the sweet nickers you get when the grain hits their buckets.
